About
While working in Human Resources and Workforce Development for Brigham and Women’s Hospital Boston Mass. A friendship evolved from coworkers to friends and then business partners within the span of 7 months. With roots and origins from Cape Verde, Africa.
With a passion for integrating Cape Verdean communities and empowerment began to blossom. Their initial focus was mentoring young men to help decrease violence within the Cape Verdean community. Through countless conversations and dialogue, the team realized that they wanted to do more and share their outcomes with the local community. This is how Cape Verdean Professionals Association (CVPA) came to be.

We believe that Cape Verdean Professionals Association mentoring program seeks to decrease the violence plaguing the City of Boston. We seek to provide young teenagers the right resources to foster success not only in school, but outside of the classroom as well.
Our goal is to partner Boston teenagers with a mentor in the working field. They will have the opportunity to shadow their mentors in the work field of their interest, while learning about professionalism, networking and job etiquette
