Dr Ali ABY Muhammed, Founder

Dr. Ali ABY Muhammed is the Founder of the Commonwealth of Indigenous Nations (COIN) Healthcare Network, a pioneering initiative at the intersection of Indigenous sovereignty, healthcare innovation, and blockchain technology. With more than 12 years of professional experience in community health, addiction recovery, homelessness outreach, and suicide prevention, Dr. Muhammed has established himself as a leader in advancing equity, access, and wellness in underserved communities.

He is the Founder and Executive Director of Visit Nubian Square, LLC, and serves as the President of the Massachusetts Juneteenth Council of America. Through these platforms, he has successfully led programs in community health workforce development, cultural preservation, and civic engagement. His contributions to public health are recognized through publications with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) under the We Can Obesity Initiative.

As part of his commitment to healthcare equity, Dr. Muhammed has built and led CHW (Community Health Worker) Workforce Development programs, training frontline workers to address substance use disorders, housing insecurity, and mental health crises. His CHW model emphasizes peer-led interventions, cultural competency, and wraparound services that empower communities to heal from within. These programs have supported dozens of workers and impacted thousands of individuals in Boston and beyond.

Beyond healthcare, Dr. Muhammed is a historian and cultural advocate, producing acclaimed documentary projects honoring African American veterans, including the Tuskegee Airmen and the Massachusetts 54th Regiment. He also co-hosts the Massachusetts Juneteenth Parade, one of the state’s most important celebrations of freedom and heritage.

As a CHW-certified professional, entrepreneur, and thought leader, Dr. Muhammed brings a unique combination of cultural vision, healthcare expertise, and organizational leadership to the COIN Healthcare Network, ensuring its mission of equitable, transparent, and sovereign healthcare for Indigenous Nations.
