Privacy Policy — CERT Field Companion Effective date: October 16, 2026 Who we are CERT Field Companion (the "App") is operated by CHW Workforce Development, Inc., Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Contact: chwworkforce@gmail.com What this policy covers This policy describes what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices. It applies to the Android app distributed on Google Play.

 

Information we collect Account information. To sign in, the App uses Clerk authentication. Clerk collects your name, email address, and sign-in activity so you can create and access your account. See Clerk's own privacy policy at https://clerk.com/legal/privacy. Reports and content you submit. The App is a community emergency-response (CERT) tool.

Information you enter — such as incident reports, drill logs, team notes, or messages — is stored on our servers so it can be shared with your team and used for coordination. Device and diagnostic information. The App may collect basic device and diagnostic information (such as device model, operating system version, and crash reports) to keep the App working and fix problems. We do not sell your personal information.

 

We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

How we use information - To operate your account and keep you signed in - To run the App's emergency-response and team-coordination features - To troubleshoot, maintain security, and improve the App - To comply with legal obligations Data retention Account and report data is kept for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate the App. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing chwworkforce@gmail.com.

 

Children's privacy The App is intended for adults (18 and older) and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at chwworkforce@gmail.com and we will delete it.

 

Security We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Changes to this policy If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.

Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
